Kling Motion Control Alternative: Kling + Seedance in Genjudo
A Kling motion control alternative that keeps Kling: Genjudo runs Kling 3.0 Motion Control and Seedance 2.5 motion transfer in one studio, on one balance.
The Short Answer
If you're looking for a Kling motion control alternative, use Genjudo, Genfire's video-to-video studio. You don't have to give up Kling to switch. Genjudo runs Kling 3.0 Motion Control in its own tab, and right next to it runs ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 for motion transfer, swaps, video edits and extensions. Same clip, same character, two engines, one credit balance.
That's the point of putting them side by side. When a move doesn't land on one engine, you run it on the other without leaving the studio, and when it does land, the result carries straight on into the rest of the edit. Credit packs start at $19 and stay valid for 12 months.
What Kling Motion Control Does
Motion control AI video takes the movement from a reference clip and gives it to a still character. With Kling's version, you supply a character image and a source video, and the character performs the video's movement: choreography, gestures, a walk cycle. It's part of Kling 3.0, the model line at the centre of Kling AI, Kuaishou's video generation platform.
In Kling's own app, subscription credits expire at the end of each billing month, and every model on offer is a Kling model, from a single lab's roadmap.
On Genfire, Kling V3 motion control runs at Standard and Pro quality, on the same balance as 80+ other image, video and audio models.
Kling 3.0 Motion Control, Inside Genjudo
Open Genjudo and switch to the Motion Control tab.
- One character, one clip. Drop a single character photo, with the face and body in view and one person in the shot, plus the clip whose movement you want. Kling animates one person per run, so the panel takes one photo.
- Scene from Video or Image. With Video, the character turns and faces exactly as the clip does, which suits full-body moves. With Image, your character keeps the facing from the photo and follows the clip's camera moves.
- Trim in the browser. Pick the window you want and Genjudo cuts it in your browser, so only those seconds are uploaded and billed.
- Keep original sound. On by default: the clip's audio plays under the result.
- Standard or Pro. Choose the quality tier for each run.
- An optional prompt. Add one when you want to steer the result, or leave it closed when the clip says it all.
- Reel links and the Motion Library. Paste an Instagram reel link and its video loads as the motion clip, or pick a clip from the Motion Library, which brings a sample character along when your character slot is empty.
The Generate button shows the credit cost before you run, and Motion Control results land in their own History, separate from your Seedance runs.
The Second Engine: Seedance 2.5 Motion Transfer
On the Create tab, Genjudo's Motion transfer runs ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 in reference-to-video mode. It reads the motion out of your clip, along with its timing and camera move, and rebuilds the shot around your images:
- One or two images. Two characters for a duet, a character plus a garment, a character plus the location the move should happen in, or a product in hand.
- Presets. Exact transfer, Dance beat for beat, Product in hand, Two characters, Garment on model and Motion in a new place each fill in a plain instruction you can edit.
- An AI director. Leave the prompt empty and Genjudo watches the clip and writes a shot-by-shot direction, naming your clip
@Video1and your images@Image1and@Image2. - 1 to 4 takes, 4 to 30 seconds. Match the clip's length or pick your own, and keep the source frame or choose a ratio.
- Three sound options. Clip's sound, AI sound or Silent.
The AI motion transfer page has more examples of the mode.

Motion Control vs Motion Transfer in Genjudo
Both live in the same studio and bill from the same balance. They differ in engine, inputs and controls:
| Motion Control tab | Motion transfer (Create tab) | |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | Kling 3.0 Motion Control | ByteDance Seedance 2.5 reference-to-video |
| Cast | One character photo | One or two images: characters, a product, a garment or a location |
| Direction | Optional prompt | An AI director writes a shot-by-shot direction, or you write your own |
| Facing | Scene from Video or from Image | Follows the clip's moves, timing and camera |
| Sound | Keep original sound, on or off | Clip's sound, AI sound or Silent |
| Settings | Standard or Pro quality | 1–4 takes, 4–30 seconds, source frame or a chosen ratio |
Run the Same Clip Through Both Engines
Generative video varies from engine to engine and take to take, so the quickest way to the take you want is to try the move both ways.
- 1Start on Create → Motion. Upload the clip or paste a reel link, add a full-body image of your character, and let the director write the direction.
- 2Run two or three takes. A difficult move deserves more than one attempt.
- 3Switch to Motion Control. Load the same clip and the same character photo, choose Scene from Video for a full-body move, and run.
- 4Compare. Each tab keeps its own History, so the Seedance takes and the Kling takes sit in their own lists.
- 5Keep the one that lands. Open any finished take and Extend loads it into Edit, where Seedance 2.5 continues it past its last frame.
A few habits help. Pick a clip with one clear subject and the whole body in frame for dance and full-body moves, a reasonably steady camera and decent light. Use a character image that shows the full figure on a plain background, framed roughly like the person in the clip.
After the Motion: Swap, Edit, Extend
Getting the move right is one step. Genjudo keeps the rest of the job in the same studio:
- Swap changes the character in the lead role, the product in the shot, the outfit or the location, while the performance, hands, light and framing stay as filmed.
- Video edit relights a shot or changes the weather, reframes it (including vertical 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts), removes background people, logos and text, and regrades it.
- Extend continues a clip past its last frame with the same cast, light and camera.
Video edits can also switch to other edit models from the same screen.
One Balance, Credits That Last
Kling's own app bills in subscription credits that expire at the end of each billing month. Genjudo bills both engines from your Genfire credit balance, the same balance that covers 80+ image, video and audio models, including the rest of the Kling V3 family: Standard and Pro, Turbo and a 4K tier. Credit packs start at $19, stay valid for 12 months, and every pack includes a commercial-use licence. The platform-wide comparison is on Genfire vs Kling, and packs are on the pricing page.
Use Footage and Faces You Have the Right To
Use clips you shot, licensed or have permission to use, and only cast real people who have agreed to it. Original characters are the simplest cast, because nobody else's likeness is involved.
